Introducing Sophie Mae

Sophie Mae Frazer entered the world at 12:54pm on Wednesday, January 28th. She weighed 7 lbs, 1 oz and was 19 inches long. She is a beautiful baby! Veronica and Brandon are adjusting to parenthood wonderfully.

Bisonet Wedding Shower

Last Saturday, Brook's mom and Aunt Vicki threw us a wonderful shower! They gave the shower an Italian theme to compliment our honeymoon location and we had lasagna with all the fixings. April, my future sister-in-law and Liz and Melissa, significant others of Brook's cousins, all pitched in to help make the day very special for us. I'm not sure if I was nervous about it or what, but a few nights before, I had a dream that my aunt got me a baby stroller (#1 She wasn't even invited. #2 WTH - a baby stroller??!!), someone got me a loaf of bread and someone else got me raw carrots. I know, how random!

Well, I didn't get carrots, bread or a stroller (thank goodness!), but we did receive so many wonderful and thoughtful gifts. Everything from our dishes to an engraved bottle of champagne to use at the wedding. It was such a nice event and went by way too quickly. Thanks so much to Brook's mom, Aunt Vicki, April, Liz and Melissa for making us feel so special! We are so grateful.

You Know You're From Michigan When . . .

. . . it's 23 degrees out and you don't wear a coat! Seriously, I saw someone not wearing a coat this morning, as she was walking into work. On a similar note, it was 42 degrees yesterday and I didn't wear a coat! It did feel like a heat wave after having such frigid temps for the last few weeks. My cousin, who lives in Florida, e-mailed me last week and said it was "quite chilly" where she was - 60's. What a bragger!

I have been slacking on blogging lately and a lot of exciting things have happened over the last week or so. We had our first wedding shower, thrown by Brook's mom and Aunt Vicki, on the 24th and my sister had her baby! Little Sophie Mae entered the world on Wednesday, January 28th at 12:54pm. She is beautiful! I will try to blog more about both with pics tonight. Have a great Monday!
