Traverse City

Last weekend, we went to Traverse City for the annual Harvest Stompede. What exactly is the "Harvest Stompede?" Welllll, it is actually a 5k walk or run (which we skipped), followed by wine tasting and gourmet foods at up to 15 wineries in the Leelanua Penninsula (which, of course, we did not skip! Haha!) Unfortunatley, after 8 wineries on Saturday, we were not feeling up to visiting the remaining 7 on Sunday. We are getting old! It was fun to taste so many different wines and bring some bottles home to enjoy at a later (much later) date.

We started the weekend with a friendly game of mini-golf and . . .

we both got holes-in-one!

One of the many vineyards we visited.

This picture doesn't do justice to the beauty of the area.
Many of the vineyards overlook the bay and it is a breathtaking view!

Hey Chrystal- found your blog through Chass'. I love the wineries in TC. I have learned you must start at the top and work your way down- LOL!

Looks like a fun time.

Hi there! Small world, I can't believe we were both in TC and didn't bump into each other. It sounds like you had a great weekend!
